Emily Standridge, Assistant Director

Emily is one of the Assistant Directors of the Writing Center.  She is a PhD student in Rhetoric and Composition who also teaches English 104.  Her research interests lie in pedagogy, especially the crosses in pedagogy between first-year composition and the writing center.  She is also interested in film theory, especially exploring women in action roles.  Emily is originally from Texas, has lived in the Midwest for 3 years with her husband, and desperately misses Tex-Mex food.

Claire Lutkewitte, Assistant Director

Claire Lutkewitte is the Co-Assistant Director of the Writing Center, and she teaches English 101.  She is also Ph. D student in the Rhetoric and Composition program where she is studying for her comprehensive exams and preparing to write her dissertation.  Her areas of interest include first-year writing pedagogy, multimodality, and writing center practices.

Dr. Jackie Grutsch McKinney, Director

Dr. Grutsch McKinney has been director of the Writing Center at Ball State since 2003. She is also graduate faculty member in the department of English where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Rhetoric and Composition.
